You'll navigate complex billing systems, communicate effectively with clients, and resolve reimbursement opportunities. This fast-paced work-from-home position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-volume call environment. **Responsibilities** • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers, addressing questions and concerns related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and billing. • Collaborate with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunities and ensure timely payment. • Receive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols. • Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances. • Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems. • Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections, and case notes. • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and regulations. • Assist with other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** • Associate's degree with at least 1+ year of prior relevant work experience or High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience. • Prior healthcare experience is strongly preferred, with a strong preference given to professional medical billing and collection practices. • Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) is strongly preferred. • Previous customer service experience handling high call volume is strongly preferred. • Medicare/Medicaid billing experience is preferred. • Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes is strongly preferred. • Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) is preferred. • Working knowledge of prior authorization is preferred. • Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes is preferred. • XIFIN experience is preferred. • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. **Other Desired Skills** • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures. • Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy. • Must be organized and detail-oriented. • Computer proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience. **Physical Requirements** • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. **Remote Technical Requirements** • Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second. • Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord. • Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi or satellite internet. **Benefits** As a valued member of the blithequark team, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including: • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, and 401(k) plans. • Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO). • Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. • Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. **Equal Opportunity Employer** blithequark is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging in the workforce.
