Experienced Senior Outreach Specialist for Healthcare Customer Service - Fully Remote Opportunity with arenaflex

Role Overview As a Senior Outreach Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in helping hospitals and health plans improve their revenue and deliver community benefits. On their behalf, you will assist patients and plan members with low or no income, and those who are aged or disabled, to enroll in government-funded assistance programs. This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own private, quiet office space. Key Responsibilities In this fast-paced contact center environment, you will be responsible for: Making outbound and receiving inbound calls to promote arenaflex services, with a focus on screening health plan members to determine eligibility for Social Security benefits and/or supplemental Nutritional Assistance for families in need Conducting interviews with patients/members via phone to gather personal and sensitive information, utilizing a similar system tool as Social Security Providing a high level of customer service and support to those who meet specific criteria, assisting in the actual submission of an application for benefits to the appropriate government agency Utilizing arenaflex's systems to ensure appropriate questions are asked, interpreting and explaining information such as eligibility requirements and application details Compiling, recording, and evaluating personal and financial data to determine eligibility, while ensuring the safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the organization's information security policies Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 2 years of experience in a customer service/call center environment Excellent phone skills, with the ability to place and receive calls via computer interface Strong data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage difficult people and situations Ability to be assertive, while also actively listening and showing compassion to patients and members Experience working remotely, with a private, quiet office/working space Associate's Degree preferred, with a strong focus on customer service and communication Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience working in a healthcare or social services environment Knowledge of government-funded assistance programs, such as Social Security and supplemental Nutritional Assistance Experience with data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to compile and evaluate personal and financial data Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and members Strong active listening skills, with the ability to understand and respond to the needs of patients and members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting productivity and quality standards Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately compile and evaluate personal and financial data Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while also being a team player and contributing to the overall success of the organization Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and a comprehensive benefits package.
