About the Job We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements. You will work closely with our accounting team, FP&A, and operational partners to achieve business objectives and drive growth. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger Be a key owner of the monthly close process for assigned regions and entities Ensure financial records are maintained for management and GAAP consolidated financial statements using accepted methodologies Assist with providing guidance to external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews Communicate with FP&A, and operational partners regarding important accounting matters Perform specially assigned examinations and projects to further our process improvement initiatives Essential Qualifications 3+ years of significant accounting experience, preferably in a similar role Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB guidelines, SOX/internal controls Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification or equivalent Solid accounting sheet skills, with the ability to manipulate and process large datasets Excellent communication, oral, and written skills, with strong proficiency in English Preferred Qualifications Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to think critically and creatively A "make it happen" mentality, with a willingness to take on challenges and adapt to changing circumstances Strong business acumen and interaction skills Data-driven and detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
