Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in game development, such as C++, C#, or similar, and experience with game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or proprietary engines. Strong knowledge of game mechanics, player engagement, and game design principles, and the ability to apply this knowledge to create engaging and immersive gameplay experiences. Experience working with data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns, and the ability to optimize gameplay systems for performance and scalability. Previous experience shipping one or more successful video games as a gameplay engineer, and a passion for gaming and the ability to analyze and deconstruct various gameplay mechanics.
