Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test software applications, including ongoing refactoring of code and driving continuous improvement in code structure and quality Write code, API specs, conduct code reviews, and testing in continuous runs or doing proof of concepts/automation tools Apply innovative methods to quick track ideas and drive business growth Function as a core member of an Agile team, leading client story analysis and elaboration, design and development of software applications, testing, and builds automation tools Manage a specific platform/product or as part of a specialized resource pool assigned to projects based on demand and business need Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and drive continuous improvement Embody a rebel with a cause mindset by looking beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent, or Master's in Computer Applications or equivalent 2+ years of software development experience and leading teams of developers and scrum teams 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Map Reduce, Hive, Spark (core, SQL, and PySpark) Proven data warehousing concepts Knowledge of financial reporting ecosystem is a plus 2+ years of proven experience within Data Engineering/Data Warehousing using Big Data technologies will be an add-on Expertise in Distributed environment Hands-on experience in programming using Core Java or Python/Scala Expertise in Hadoop and Spark Architecture and its working principle Hands-on experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL (Hive/PySpark-dataframes), optimizing joins while processing large amounts of data Experience in UNIX shell scripting Ability to design and develop advanced Data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing Should have experience in analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of system applications Proven ability to create and document technical and functional specifications and analyze software and system processing streams Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of cloud platforms like GCP/AWS, building Microservices and scalable solutions, will be a benefit 2+ years of experience in designing and building solutions using Kafka streams or pipelines Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and using CI/CD pipelines Experience with NoSQL i.e., HBase, Couchbase, MongoDB is good to have Excellent technical and analytical capability Good communication skills Excellent Project management skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
