Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are scalable, efficient, and secure. You will work closely with our data warehouse architects, software developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business growth and informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities Utilize SQL to execute database operations and handle design tasks to support the development of next-generation semantic layers solutions Customize data sources to support functional assets, including dashboards, anomaly detection models, and predictive analytics Understand business requirements, construct design documents, create models, influence assessment, and playback the impact statement Assist in the replication of real data modeling in a sandbox environment to build IT scripts used in the Client Acceptance Testing (UAT) process Collaborate with data warehouse architects and software developers to create seamless business intelligence, delivering significant reporting from both enterprise (e.g., Core) and custom tools (e.g., Transfer management) for end-users Use SQL, Scene, and Python to provide break-fix support for production analytical solutions, ensuring the ongoing system functionality and business continuity Present the results of analysis to specialty units, using both real-time processes (e.g., Webex, Scene, Featured discussion, or Executive Show) and automated functionality tools, such as Python-driven alerting systems that help push critical data when action is required by the business Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field At least 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related data engineering occupation, or 5 years of moderate, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related data engineering occupation 3 years of experience in the following areas: Data modeling using SQL Database management using ETL Handling subscription data models SQL in Snowflake 2 years of experience in the following areas: Leading data analysis, data transformation, and data management projects Layered Modeling Scene, ThoughtSpot, or Github Big Data Data Analysis 1 year of experience in the following areas: Predictive analytics Statistics Machine Learning Data Science Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced degree or certification in a related field Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies Strong understanding of data governance and security principles Excellent communication and collaboration skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong technical skills in data engineering, data modeling, and data analysis Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
