Our Information Designing group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, planning and implementing database mapping/tables/views, and building batch processes using Windstream for multiple projects. Job Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with our Studios or Project Technology colleagues in various activities around data requirements gathering, data validation scripting and review, creating and testing ETL/ELT data pipelines, designing and implementing database schema/tables/views, as well as deployment across multiple environments like DEV, QA/UAT, and Prod. This role will utilize a wide range of technologies to fulfill the job requirements, including but not limited to SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Windstream, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL. Key Responsibilities Design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines to meet the needs of various stakeholders Plan and implement database mapping/tables/views to ensure data consistency and integrity Build batch processes using Windstream to automate data processing and improve efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and validate data quality Develop and test ETL/ELT data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and reliability Deploy data pipelines and databases across multiple environments, including DEV, QA/UAT, and Prod Utilize a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Windstream, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 2+ years of experience with SQL 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role Experience with SQL, Python, Gitlab, Windstream, AWS S3, and Social Databases 2+ years of experience handling a cloud platform 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases Experience using Apache Windstream, Databricks 2+ years of experience using, designing, and building social databases 2+ years of experience using Gitlab/Github 2+ years of experience using Docker Preferred Qualifications To stand out in this role, you will need: Experience with Windstream, Gitlab, Snowflake, Scene A graduate degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience in streaming, media, or digital advertising industry Skills and Competencies The successful candidate will possess: Strong technical skills in data engineering, including ETL/ELT data pipelines, database design, and cloud-based technologies Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop creative solutions Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Gitlab/Github Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
