As The Kids Experts in our region, we're regularly ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top children's hospital. **Position Summary** The Senior Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and support to patients, families, and other external and internal contacts. This position requires a high level of expertise in billing and follow-up processes, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The representative will respond to initial patient-family requests, provide detailed explanations of patient billing information, resolve patient-family questions, and perform follow-up on outstanding concerns. The position also supports the team by resolving complex questions and providing hands-on training. **Key Responsibilities** * Respond to initial patient-family requests and provide detailed explanations of patient billing information * Resolve patient-family questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner * Perform follow-up on outstanding concerns and collaborate with other departments to research patient billing history * Support the team by resolving complex questions and providing hands-on training * Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, both orally and in writing * Work effectively in a high-stress environment, managing multiple priorities and a heavy workload * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA privacy standards and PCI compliance regulations **Essential Qualifications** * High School Diploma required; business-related coursework preferred * 5+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting * Working knowledge of billing and follow-up processes * Excellent customer service and communication skills, both orally and in writing * Proficient use of systems, including computer applications, phone systems, and medical terminology * Detail-oriented, with good organizational skills and the ability to be self-directed * Strong time management skills, managing multiple priorities and a heavy workload in a high-stress environment * Flexibility to perform other tasks as needed in an active work environment with changing work needs **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with a wide variety of PC applications * Knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards and PCI compliance regulations * Basic knowledge of medical terminology * High-level problem-solving, analytical, and investigational skills * Ability to learn quickly and meet continuous timelines * Exhibits behaviors consistent with principles of excellent service and maintains competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment **Work Environment and Culture** arenaflex is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that fosters growth, learning, and collaboration.
