Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join our Credit and Fraud Risk Management team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for delivering data-driven, decision-making, and high-impact overall loss provision forecasts and credit-risk-related insights. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced methodologies and tools, performing data analyses, modeling, and presenting recommendations to key stakeholders and partners. This role is part of a highly skilled team with a strong interest in collaborative problem-solving and influencing partners across the organization. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain complex data models to forecast credit risk and overall loss provision Perform in-depth data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Collections, Marketing, and Finance, to drive credit-related analytical insights Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders, influencing business decisions and strategy Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and emerging risks, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and mitigate risk Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including external vendors and internal teams Contribute to the development of the company's financial planning process, providing input on metrics that impact overall loss provision Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or computer science Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk management, fraud risk management, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and extract insights Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders Proficiency in programming languages, such as SQL, SAS, Hive, Python, and Power-BI Experience working with large datasets and big data tools, such as Hadoop, PIG/HIVE, is strongly preferred Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as a master's or Ph.D. Professional certifications, such as FRM, CFA, or CPA Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and influence teams Experience with cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies Career Growth and Development At American Express, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
