Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Seasonal Customer Service Representative to join our team on a part-time basis. As a seasonal representative, you will play a vital role in receiving, investigating, and responding to member inquiries, resolving problems and complaints in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities Answer and track telephone calls within established department standards, ensuring concise and factual documentation Develop a thorough understanding of all lines of business benefits, medical management processes, demographic change processes, and procedures for changing Primary Care Physicians (PCP) Respond to "entry-level" claims inquiries, take "Over the Counter" (OTC) orders for products and diabetic supplies, and process enrollment and disenrollment procedures Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, interact professionally with colleagues, customers, and suppliers, and work effectively as a team contributor Drive the arenaflex culture through values and customer service standards, providing outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts Job Specifics This seasonal part-time role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, with schedules including Saturdays and Sundays, offering two 8-hour shifts: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST and 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST. An additional 4-hour shift will be scheduled for coverage during peak business hours. The duration of this role is from October 2024 through January 2025, with no long-term planned time off during the assignment. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Ability to read and interpret documents, calculate figures and amounts, and possess strong typing skills (40-60WPM) Excellent oral and written communication skills, including good grammar, voice, and diction Proficiency in MS Office, basic computer and keyboarding skills, and the ability to toggle between different systems High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, with a minimum of six months to one-year related experience Ability to manage customer questions and issues while maintaining professionalism, providing thoughtful and prompt resolution with empathy and poise Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following skills and qualities are highly desirable: Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or related industry Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and demonstrate creativity Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to demonstrate confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy when dealing with customers Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
