Job Summary We're looking for a talented Retail Customer Service Associate to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our retail store team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, providing expert knowledge of our printing, shipping, and graphics products and services, and operating a variety of equipment to ensure seamless operations. You'll work closely with our customers, vendors, and team members to ensure that every interaction is positive, productive, and memorable. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs. Demonstrate expert knowledge of blithequark's printing, shipping, and graphics products and services, and recommend appropriate solutions to customers. Operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, including printing, binding, and shipping equipment. Manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment. Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change. Maintain confidentiality of customer data and handle documents, media, and packages with care. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals, improve customer satisfaction, and drive business results. Stay current on blithequark's merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail area product and signage. Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste, and suggest areas for improvement in internal processes. Essential Qualifications and Requirements Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent education required. 6+ months of specialized experience in customer service, retail, or a related field. Skills and Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods. Ability to move and lift 55 pounds. Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members. Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure. Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in the printing, shipping, or graphics industries. Knowledge of Quality concepts and principles. Experience with POS systems and financial transactions. Certifications or training in customer service, sales, or leadership.
