Job Overview The Retail Customer Service Associate is responsible for consistently delivering a positive customer experience, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. You will be responsible for taking orders, coordinating activities in the store, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate blithequark products and services. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service, utilizing consultative skills to understand each customer's individualized needs Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines, and recommend appropriate blithequark products and services Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping, ensuring timely and accurate delivery Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment, using customer-supplied original media and documents Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: High school diploma or equivalent education 6+ months of specialized experience in a retail or customer-facing environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods Ability to move and lift 55 pounds Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees, and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment Knowledge of printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines Experience with Point of Sale terminals (POS) and financial transactions Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
