About the Role As a Remote Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and managing pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, handling and accurately dispensing medication orders, administering vaccinations, and counseling patients on healthcare and medication requirements. You will also serve as a role model and provide guidance and direction to our pharmacy associates on company policies, procedures, and best practices. Key Responsibilities Provide thorough patient care to individuals by handling and accurately dispensing medication orders, administering vaccinations, and counseling patients on healthcare and medication requirements Model, uphold, and provide guidance and direction to pharmacy associates on company policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure patient needs, concerns, and issues are effectively resolved Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas by reviewing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring loss prevention and safety controls, and providing guidance and direction on implementing company programs and strategic initiatives Maintain confidential information, documentation, and assigned records as required by company policies and local, state, and federal regulations Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree or equivalent FPGEC (NABP) Pharmacy license (by job entry date) Completion of an ACPE-accredited vaccination training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience as a staff pharmacist or in a related role Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, laws, and regulations Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong clinical skills : ability to provide comprehensive patient care, handle medication orders, and administer vaccinations Leadership skills : ability to model, uphold, and provide guidance and direction to pharmacy associates Communication skills : ability to effectively communicate with patients, associates, and other stakeholders Problem-solving skills : ability to resolve patient concerns and issues in a timely and effective manner Attention to detail : ability to accurately dispense medication orders and maintain confidential information and documentation Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walmart, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
