Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Ramp Agent, you will play a vital role in our airport operations, ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This is an entry-level position that offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career in the aviation industry. Our leaders are committed to providing mentorship and support to help you grow and succeed in your role. Some of your daily tasks will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, in addition to being responsible for timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions. Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination. You will work in a dynamic environment, with scheduling based on operational needs. Shifts range from early morning to overnight, and you can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data. Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. Have a valid driver's license. Be proficient in English. Pass a physical ability test (PAT). Be able to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel, subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE. Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that includes: Starting pay of $21.85 per hour, with regular pay increases through 10.5 years. Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, short/long term disability, and life insurance benefits. 401(k) with generous company contributions up to 9%. New hires are eligible for up to 2 weeks of vacation, earned for use in the following vacation year (April 1 – March 31). In addition to vacation, new hires are eligible for up to 56 hours of paid personal time within a 12-month period. 10 paid holidays per calendar year. Birthing parents are eligible for 12 weeks of paid maternity/parental leave, and non-birthing parents are eligible for 2 weeks of paid parental leave.
