Key Responsibilities Transcribe and edit radiology reports using medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge to ensure accuracy and quality. Identify and correct dictation discrepancies and errors related to ordered examinations, utilizing your analytical skills and attention to detail. Monitor transcription applications and manage multiple worklists, troubleshooting system problems as needed to maintain workflow efficiency. Stay updated on new medical terminology, procedures, and medications using various resources, including industry publications, training programs, and online courses. Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge, best practices, and feedback to continuously improve transcription quality and workflow processes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance transcription services. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in medical transcription, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in radiology transcription, and at least 2 years of experience in speech recognition editing and proofing. You will also need to have a strong knowledge of medical and radiologic terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as experience with transcription software and systems, such as PowerScribe 360 and Dictaphone. Preferred Qualifications Certificate or training in medical transcription from an accredited program or college, demonstrating your commitment to professional development and excellence in the field. Experience working in a remote or home-based environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technology systems, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders.
