Experienced Remote MTSS Math Interventionist – Supporting Student Success in Illinois through Personalized Math Instruction and Intervention

Key Responsibilities Develop, document, and maintain ongoing academic plans (Individual Student Growth and learning plans) and behavioral intervention plans for students requiring math support Facilitate the development of a departmental assessment calendar with Instructional Directors and teachers to ensure that students are adequately prepared for assessments and evaluations Oversee re-assessments and provide interventions that will be progress-monitored over a period of time to ensure that students are making adequate progress towards their goals Coordinate peer tutoring supports as needed to provide students with additional opportunities for learning and growth Maintain and update the database that identifies students to receive MTSS support and the results of the interventions provided to ensure that data-driven decisions are made to support student learning Support homework completion and create homework plans in conjunction with parents to ensure that students are adequately supported outside of the classroom Facilitate home-school communication loop to ensure that parents and guardians are informed of student progress and involved in the learning process Facilitate goal-writing throughout the year for identified students to ensure that they are working towards achievable and meaningful goals Collect evidence and report academic progress to academic teams when appropriate to ensure that data-driven decisions are made to support student learning Provide supplemental instruction (one-on-one, in small groups) to students who require additional math support to ensure that they are adequately prepared for assessments and evaluations Assist with student enrollment in summer or after-school programs to provide students with additional opportunities for learning and growth Monitor communication and collaboration with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure that students receive comprehensive support Provide Direct Tier 2 support for targeted students to ensure that they receive the support they need to succeed Participate in on-going, targeted professional development training to ensure that you are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to support student learning Reteach lessons or parts of lessons as needed to ensure that students have a thorough understanding of math concepts and principles Communicate with MTSS director and faculty regarding student progress and results to ensure that data-driven decisions are made to support student learning Maintain accurate attendance records and intervention results to ensure that data-driven decisions are made to support student learning Maintain departmental assessment calendar to ensure that students are adequately prepared for assessments and evaluations Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth through reflection and collaboration to ensure that you are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to support student learning Participate in regularly scheduled professional development training to ensure that you are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to support student learning Observe classrooms to increase curricular knowledge and ensure that you are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to support student learning Perform other job-related duties as assigned by direct supervisor to ensure that the needs of the district are met Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Math or a related field (required) Illinois Paraprofessional License (required) Professional Educator License (preferred) Prior experience tutoring students in math (preferred) Experience with office and school-based management systems (preferred) Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Math or a related field Special education endorsement or certification Experience working with students with diverse learning needs Knowledge of MTSS and RtI frameworks Experience with data-driven instruction and progress monitoring Skills and Competencies Strong content knowledge in math Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with students, teachers, and parents in a collaborative and supportive manner Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain accurate records and data Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to adapt to changing
