Experienced Remote Data Entry Specialist – Accurate Information Management and Digital Database Administration

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our digital database, working closely with our data management team to enter, verify, and maintain accurate information from a variety of sources. About the Role In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for transferring data from paper formats to computer files or database systems, using a range of tools and technologies, including keyboards, data recorders, and optical scanners. You will also enter data provided directly by customers, create spreadsheets with a large number of figures without errors, and verify data by comparing it with source documents. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and easily accessible, and that our digital database remains up-to-date and secure. Key Responsibilities Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners Enter data provided directly by customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Create spreadsheets with a large number of figures without errors, using tools such as MS Office Excel Verify data by comparing it with source documents, to ensure accuracy and completeness Update existing data, as required, to ensure that our digital database remains current and relevant Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, providing timely and effective support to our data management team Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation, and sort and organize paperwork after data entry to ensure that data is not lost Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a range of skills and qualifications, including: Demonstrated experience as a data entry clerk, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail Fast typing ability, with knowledge of touch typing systems preferred Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools, such as MS Office Word and Excel Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices Basic knowledge of databases, and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies Good command of English, both oral and written, and good customer service skills Strong attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant training or certification in data entry or a related field an asset Preferred Qualifications In addition to the requirements outlined above, we are looking for candidates who possess: Advanced knowledge of data entry software and systems, including database management and data analysis tools Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data entry errors and discrepancies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our data management team and other stakeholders Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our employees.
