Job Description As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining data in various systems and databases. You will verify data by comparing it to source documents, retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, and organize and prioritize data entry tasks to ensure timely completion. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in compiling, sorting, and verifying the accuracy of data before it is entered, maintaining the confidentiality and security of data, and collaborating with other team members to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Key Responsibilities Input, update, and maintain data in various systems and databases Verify data by comparing it to source documents Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested Organize and prioritize data entry tasks to ensure timely completion Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered Maintain the confidentiality and security of data Collaborate with other team members to ensure data accuracy and integrity Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred) Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Excellent typing speed and accuracy Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Additional certification in Office Management or Data Entry Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field Experience working in a remote environment Familiarity with data management software and systems Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
