Job Overview As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service to our customers. This is a remote position, but you will be required to have reliable transportation to travel to our designated facility as necessary. Key Responsibilities Process billing calls, investigate meter read and other requests relating to billing accuracy or payment Handle emergency calls and provide timely resolutions Process customer move-ins, adds, and transfers Process refunds, compensation requests, and changes to accounts Route escalated customer issues for resolution Make referrals and process requests regarding special programs such as Energy Assistance, CRISIS, Dollar Energy, or other programs, as necessary Process order inquiry calls, initiate service orders, and provide service order status updates Assist customers with credit/payment arrangements Direct customers to the appropriate self-service channels as necessary Meet individual deadlines, metrics, and team goals Multitask while effectively focusing on priority issues Work cooperatively in a group environment to achieve common goals Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of customer service experience Computer skills, including navigating multiple tabs, windows, and systems Ability to type a minimum of 25 WPM (Word Per Minute) Solid written and verbal communication skills For bilingual candidates: Must possess solid written skills in English and Spanish and must speak fluent English and Spanish Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: 2-3 years of call center and/or customer service experience 2-5 years of previous customer service work-from-home experience Utility experience Advanced computer skills, including navigating multiple tabs, windows, and systems Ability to type 60-65 WPM (Words Per Minute) Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Strong customer service skills and ability to provide exceptional customer experiences Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
