Experienced Remote Customer Service Representative for Federal Student Loan Programs – Hybrid Role in Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Job Overview We are actively recruiting for future openings for the Customer Service Representative (Hybrid) position, which will be available in the near future. As a customer service representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for communicating with borrowers regarding federal student loan programs, resolving customer inquiries, taking loan payments, and providing repayment options. Key Responsibilities Respond to incoming borrower calls, chats, and make outbound calls in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that all interactions meet the highest standards of customer service. Counsel and inform borrowers of their repayment options, deferments, and forbearance eligibility, taking payments and updating the borrower's account in an efficient and accurate manner. Locate needed information quickly and minimize the time borrowers are put on hold, ensuring that all interactions are resolved promptly and effectively. Maintain the security and privacy of the borrower, protecting both the borrower and our partners, and adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines. Work an 8-hour shift with a one 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Demonstrate strong computer skills, including the ability to multitask and type while talking, and navigate our systems and software with ease. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or a bachelor's degree preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to ongoing learning. Ability to pass a pre-employment cognitive and personality assessment, which will be administered as part of our hiring process. Must be able to obtain a Federal 5C Security Clearance and credit check, which are required for this role. Must live in or near the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with a reliable means of accessing our office and working from home as required. Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely. Ability to multitask, including typing while talking, and navigate multiple systems and software with ease. Must have access to home internet with at least 10 mg capacity and a router for an ethernet cord, ensuring that all technical requirements are met. Must have a location in the home that is free of noise and distraction, allowing for focused and productive work. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the federal student loan industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of our business and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Strong knowledge of federal student loan programs and repayment options, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
