About the Role In this full-time, phone-based position, you will play a vital role in connecting individuals with the support they need to thrive. As the first point of contact, you will proactively reach out to individuals via phone, offering help and guidance according to program requirements. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust and rapport with our members, providing them with a positive and empowering experience. You will work closely with a collaborative team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Key Responsibilities Proactively reach out to individuals via phone to offer help and support according to program requirements Work closely with a collaborative team to improve the lives of millions of people by connecting them with the support they need to thrive Provide outstanding customer service over the phone and via email, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach Utilize various tech tools to enhance your impact and make your work easier, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Take ownership of key tasks, working independently and proactively to prioritize and triage competing demands Facilitate and navigate tough or emotional conversations with sensitivity and professionalism Build relationships and trust through conversations, demonstrating a thorough and detail-oriented approach to your work Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: At least 1 year of outbound customer experience in a call center, claims, benefits, fundraising, or healthcare scheduling environment A passion for mental health and emotional wellbeing, behavioral health, community outreach, resources, healthcare, or active volunteerism An obvious sense of urgency and purpose, with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and listening, with a willingness to receive feedback and constructive criticism A college graduate or Associate's degree in a customer-related field, with a strong foundation in customer service principles Residence in one of the following states: AR, AZ, FL, GA, IL, KY, MA, MD, MN, NC, NE, NV, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA, or WI Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a proven ability to work independently and manage your time effectively Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other tech tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies A strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including behavioral health and community outreach initiatives Certifications or training in customer service, mental health, or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a ability to build rapport and trust with diverse individuals Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach, with a willingness to listen and understand the needs of others Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a ability to navigate complex situations and provide creative solutions Time management and organizational skills, with a ability to prioritize and triage competing demands Adaptability and flexibility, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes A growth-oriented mindset, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
