As a key member of our Centralized Scheduling Department, you'll play a vital role in supporting scheduling for a specific healthcare specialty and ensuring that patients receive the care they need. Job Summary As a Remote Call Center Scheduler, you'll work closely with our Centralized Scheduling Department to support scheduling for an assigned healthcare specialty. Your primary responsibilities will include answering inbound patient scheduling calls, scheduling patients for procedures, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Patient Scheduling: Answer inbound patient scheduling calls, address patient concerns, and schedule patients for procedures in a timely and efficient manner. Communication: Communicate with patients to schedule, re-schedule, and/or cancel appointment requests accurately, following practice scheduling protocols and tools. Data Entry: Accurately collect and perform data entry of all required patient demographic and insurance information. Customer Service: Utilize professional communication etiquette and listening skills to assist patients with their scheduling needs and build a safe and trustworthy environment. De-escalation: De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers, offering patient assistance and support. Software Systems: Utilize and maneuver between several different software systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date information. Additional Projects: Assist with other projects as assigned by management. Requirements and Qualifications Education: High School Diploma: Required. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree: Preferred. Experience: Call Center or Customer Service Experience: One year of previous experience required. Basic Healthcare Knowledge: Preferred. Skills and Competencies: Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide exceptional customer service and build trust with patients. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Technical Skills: Ability to utilize software systems, including electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
