About the Role We are seeking highly motivated and experienced customer service professionals to join our remote call center team, serving Maryland residents who are seeking health insurance coverage. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with accurate and timely information, answering their questions, and addressing their concerns in a professional and empathetic manner. Key Responsibilities Answer inbound phone calls from customers seeking information and assistance with health insurance options, providing personalized support and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their health coverage. Update customer and account information as needed, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date. Maintain detailed case records, noting the purpose of each call and any actions taken, to ensure that we can provide seamless support to our customers. Utilize multiple database applications as resources to provide accurate and timely information to our customers. Be open to feedback and coaching, using it as an opportunity for continuous improvement and growth, and striving to meet performance metrics to achieve continued professional growth opportunities. Respond to general customer inquiries, providing clear and concise information, and escalating complex issues to senior team members as needed. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A high school diploma or equivalent, with college attendance or a degree preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner. A minimum of 1 year of call center experience, preferably in a healthcare-related field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service. A minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience, with a strong understanding of health insurance policies and terminology. Computer proficiency, with the ability to learn and navigate multiple database applications and software systems. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact well with customers, coworkers, and other stakeholders. The ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task, with a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy. Flexibility, reliability, and availability for occasional overtime as needed, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
