Job Summary and Key Responsibilities The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing support and care to patients in the BWH Division of Urology. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring and responding to incoming messages and patient phone calls, with possible option for remote triage work Accountable for responding to EPIC in-basket messages, provider concerns, reporting test results, and phone triage as clinically indicated Escalating messages when clinically required and collaborating with clinical staff, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Administration Providing direct patient care in Ambulatory clinic setting under the guidance of a LIP, including post-operative assessments/care, tube care, urgent appointments, patient education, and pre-procedure medications and assessments Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Be a graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Have a minimum of 3 years of current nursing experience caring for a urology-focused patient population Have clinical nursing experience in an ambulatory urology setting with telephone triage and telephone-based clinical assessment Have Medical/Surgical nursing experience strongly preferred Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Proficiency in EPIC and other electronic medical records systems Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mass General Brigham, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
