As a Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) at blithequark's Seattle operations, you'll play a vital role in achieving this mission. About the Role: Key Responsibilities and Expectations As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This entry-level position is designed to provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career with the support of our experienced leaders. Your daily tasks will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions. Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions. Safely operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations. You'll work in a fast-paced environment that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Our Ramp Agents work varying shifts, including early mornings, overnights, and weekends, with scheduling based on operational needs. You'll have the opportunity to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. Essential Qualifications: What You Need to Succeed To excel as a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you'll need: A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. To be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. A valid driver's license. Proficiency in English. The ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT). To wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high visibility safety apparel. The ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
