Job Overview and Responsibilities As a Project Management Student, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project management team across various phases of projects, from sales support to contract fulfillment. Your responsibilities will include: Providing project management assistance for projects from diverse markets, including sports and commercial sectors Assisting with writing scopes of work, project pricing, and estimates, as well as sending and receiving project correspondence and documentation Offering sales support for project proposal generation, quoting, and technical presentations Initiating and organizing contract documents, subcontract documents, and general project correspondence Generating and monitoring project budgets and schedules Coordinating internal project tasks, including sales to engineering representations, systems design, project accounting, material requisition, manufacturing/product throughput, and management feedback Working effectively as a team member, with minimal supervision, and contributing to product and process improvements Communicating effectively with sales teams, customers, and project team members Supervising on-site project installations or providing supervision assistance for projects Regularly and reliably working scheduled hours and performing other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer expectations Essential Qualifications and Skills To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should: Be a student registered in at least 12 credits and currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field Be in your sophomore or junior year of school, with a strong academic record and a minimum GPA of 3.0 Have prior construction experience, technical or mechanical interests, hobbies, and experiences (desirable) Possess good oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, self-motivation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team member Be fluent in English, both written and verbal Have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to travel by air and ground Be at least 18 years of age Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: A GPA of 3.5 or above, making you eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester completed while employed Experience with project management software and tools Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and practices Familiarity with engineering principles and practices Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Daktronics, we are committed to helping you grow and develop your skills and knowledge.
