As a Program Aide - Athletic Event Usher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of guests at Miami University Athletic and non-Athletic events. Job Summary As a Program Aide - Athletic Event Usher, you will be the first point of contact for fans and guests at Miami University events. You will assist with the operation of the stadium and/or arena to ensure the safety and well-being of guests at Miami University Athletic and non-Athletic events. This position specifically supports the mission of Miami University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules & regulations. Key Responsibilities Greet, interact, and provide information to all guests in a professional and friendly manner. Inspect and set up gates and turnstiles before events; break down and store at the conclusion of events. Monitor the flow of patrons; enforce rules and regulations before, during, and after events. Solve seating and other problems; ensure that persons are in their proper seats. Seat handicapped persons; handle VIP seating. Take attendance reading from turnstile at the end of events; report attendance to supervisors. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: High school education or GED required. No experience required, but customer service experience is preferred. Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Excellent customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in event management or customer service. Knowledge of NCAA and Conference rules & regulations. Experience working with diverse populations.
