Job Summary and Key Responsibilities As a Portfolio Architect at blithequark, you will play a crucial role in leading the application of DDD principles throughout the software development lifecycle. Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing complex business domains, designing versatile and viable software solutions, and implementing DDD patterns to ensure alignment between software components and business domains. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading the utilization of DDD principles throughout the software development lifecycle, including domain analysis, modeling, and implementation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and define bounded contexts, develop a ubiquitous language, and establish domain-driven patterns to ensure alignment between software solutions and business domains. Driving the creation of domain models that accurately represent complex business domains and facilitating communication among technical and non-technical stakeholders. Leveraging DDD best practices to design and develop adaptable, effective, and extensible software systems that truly address the organization's evolving requirements. Driving conversations around new and emerging capabilities and assisting in determining the best way to modernize technologies to enable business solutions. Combining current state processes, working models, and approaches to attempt to define new, carefully planned clarity on requirements. Working across a diverse stakeholder group, driving consensus, and creating a shared understanding of detailed requirements related to technical delivery. Meeting with business teams as required and performing an initial assessment of risky situations or articulating the capabilities required to support the business. Gathering information about the business process through various techniques (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports, etc.). Offering key support to clients in defining or designing business processes and assisting in identifying improvements based on client needs. Coordinating multi-system solutions to resolve interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to the user. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Demonstrated experience with Domain Driven Design or similar. 3+ years of IT and business experience. Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical mind with excellent data collection and analysis skills. Demonstrated skills in process design, technical design, and proven problem-solving. Effective communication, relationship management, and influencing skills required to work in collaboration with internal teams. Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse individuals, thinking, and styles. Has a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Preferred qualifications include: In-depth knowledge of the airline industry standards. Enterprise Business Process Modeling (BPM) experience. Business Capability Modeling (BCM) experience.
