Job Overview In this critical role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our patients and healthcare providers, providing professional phone assistance and support through our criteria-based prior authorization process. As a Pharmacy Technician Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, as well as transferring clinical questions and judgment calls to our pharmacists. This is a temporary, remote position with assigned shifts varying from 7AM-8PM CT, and training hours from 8AM-430PM CT. The duration of this position is 6-12 months, with a competitive hourly rate of $19-21.70. Key Responsibilities Respond to incoming calls from patients, providers, and other stakeholders, providing professional phone assistance and support through our prior authorization process Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials Transfer clinical questions and judgment calls to our pharmacists Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all patients and providers receive prompt, courteous, and effective support Collaborate with our pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery Stay up-to-date on our products, services, and policies, as well as industry developments and trends Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a high-volume call center environment Experience in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position is highly desirable Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but not required at a State or National level Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related field Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional support and care to our patients and providers Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with our pharmacists and other healthcare professionals Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
