Your Day at Lowes As a Receiver/Stocker, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks designed to ensure our stores are clean, organized, and stocked with the products our customers need. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Receiving and Stocking Merchandise: Safely unload merchandise from incoming freight, move it to the sales floor, and stock shelves. Maintaining a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Ensure aisles are clean, organized, and safe, and report any safety or security concerns to management. Customer Service: Answer customer questions, assist with merchandise, and provide a positive shopping experience. Inventory Management: Ensure products are accurately received, stocked, and replenished. Equipment Maintenance: Charge equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure it's in good working condition. Key Responsibilities As a Receiver/Stocker, you'll be responsible for: Ensuring products are accurately received, stocked, and replenished. Following proper lifting guidelines to safely stock products on shelves. Ensuring aisles are clean, organized, and safe. Engaging customers, vendors, and associates with a positive attitude. Remaining vigilant and reporting any safety or security concerns around the store. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations. Completing other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills (addition and subtraction). The ability to hear, listen, and communicate verbally with others. The ability to use a smartphone and other common retail technology. The ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods. The ability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation. Preferred Qualifications While not required, experience operating a forklift or similar equipment, as well as experience in a warehouse environment performing inventory handling and stocking, is highly desirable. Working Conditions As a Receiver/Stocker, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying environmental conditions. You may be exposed to: Varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Constant or intermittent noises. Moving or shaking objects and equipment.
