We are seeking an experienced part-time Marketing Administrative Support Professional to join our dynamic team in the Department of Kinesiology at Penn State. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the department's marketing and communications efforts, including event planning, social media management, and website updates. About the Role As a part-time Marketing Administrative Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department's marketing and communications efforts. This will include: * Assisting with the planning and execution of events, including the Seminar Series, Action Club, Colloquium, and Noll events * Maintaining and updating the department's SharePoint site and website * Designing and creating promotional materials, including flyers, posters, and social media graphics * Managing the department's social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts and responding to comments and messages * Providing administrative support for the Joe Humphreys Fly Fishing Program and Alumni Spotlight * Assisting with marketing and communications tasks, including email marketing and newsletter creation * Maintaining accurate records and databases, including event registration and attendance tracking Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience * Excellent computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft O365 and Adobe Creative Suite * Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a team environment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and databases * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Adobe Express, InDesign, and Photoshop * Experience with social media management and email marketing * Knowledge of marketing and communications principles and practices * Experience working in a higher education setting Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and databases * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a part-time Marketing Administrative Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop your skills and knowledge in marketing and communications * Work with a dynamic team of professionals in the Department of Kinesiology * Contribute to the success of the department and the university * Pursue professional development opportunities, including training and education * Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package Work Environment and Company Culture As a part-time Marketing Administrative Support Professional, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a team of professionals who are passionate about marketing and communications.
