About the Role We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-time Online Educator to join our team. As a key member of our Hoot Teacher Network, you'll provide 1:1 lessons to students using our innovative tech platform and Science of Reading curriculum. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality instruction, ensuring students achieve their literacy goals. Your Availability and Schedule Hours: Monday to Friday, until May 2025, to support our peak hours between 1:00PM - 4:30PM CT. Commitment: Up to 25 hours per week. Consistency: Preference will be given to candidates with consistent availability across the week (Monday to Friday) with consistent time slots for easy student/teacher matching. What We're Looking For We're seeking a dedicated and passionate educator with a strong background in K-6 teaching. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education (or equivalent) is required. 2+ years of K-6 teaching experience with a strong grasp of phonics, decoding, and reading fundamentals. Tech-savvy with a reliable laptop, internet, and quiet workspace. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Science of Reading curriculum or similar phonics-based programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and student needs.
