Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Adjunct Faculty member in the EMS program, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and delivering lectures, discussions, and other presentations to enhance the student's educational experience Designing, securing, preparing, and maintaining equipment and instructional materials essential to the presentation of classroom material Evaluating learner performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of lab activities and skill competencies Participating in activities that promote Black Hawk College EMS education, including student recruiting, program marketing events, and other initiatives as appropriate By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and contribute to the growth and development of the EMS program. Essential Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess: A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate medical or allied health education field (Master's degree preferred) A current Illinois license as an EMT, EMT-I, A-EMT, Paramedic, or Pre-hospital RN A minimum of two years' experience in EMS or emergency care Two years' of documented teaching experience Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, as well as experience in curriculum development and program accreditation. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds. You should also be proficient in using technology to support instruction and have a strong commitment to student learning and success.
