Job Overview In this exciting role, you will be responsible for executing strategies that support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product. Working closely with the Managing Director of Ocean, you will play a key part in supporting carrier development, pricing, analyzing carrier service, routings, carrier performance, and resolving carrier service issues. As an ocean subject matter expert, you will also provide support to sales and operations teams, helping to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Implement and communicate strategies to increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, enhance service, and support adherence to preferred networks Assist in implementing pricing programs and review volume targets to ensure alignment with business objectives Work closely with the Managing Director of Ocean, global trade lane team, sales, and operations to communicate direction and deliverables Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction Provide expert advice and guidance on ocean-related matters to support sales and operations teams Collaborate with product, sales, and operations teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and minimize risk Direct and indirect customer contact will be required, providing exceptional customer service and support Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Strong knowledge of the ocean freight industry, including carrier development, pricing, and service analysis Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded: Experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of ocean product development and carrier management Knowledge of logistics and transportation systems, including transportation management systems and freight forwarding software Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience working in a global organization, with a strong understanding of cultural and linguistic differences Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strategic thinking : ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improvement Communication : excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Problem-solving : proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions Collaboration : ability to work effectively in a team environment, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders Adaptability : ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
