We're seeking a skilled and passionate Middle School Multisensory Math Tutor and Instructor to join our team and help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. Key Responsibilities: Delivering Exceptional Math Instruction Conduct 25 to 55-minute math tutoring sessions with students on a weekly basis, tailoring your instruction to meet their individual needs and learning styles. Assess student starting points using our game-centered assessment tools, and curate lesson plans that are informed by our multisensory math templates and your own professional expertise. Communicate student progress to parents through weekly email updates, providing insights into their child's strengths, challenges, and areas of growth. Participate in team meetings, sharing your experiences, best practices, and ideas for enhancing our math intervention services. Engage in ongoing professional development, learning new software, and staying up-to-date on the latest research and pedagogies in multisensory math instruction. Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Experience We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or a Math-Related Field such as Engineering. At least 3+ years of teaching experience, preferably in a setting where you've worked with students who have diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with parents, colleagues, and students in a clear and compassionate manner. A patient and adaptable approach to teaching, with a willingness to adjust your instruction to meet the unique needs and moods of your students. A passion for teaching math in a fun and engaging way, using a range of multisensory approaches and activities to promote student understanding and enjoyment. Preferred Qualifications: The Skills and Experience That Will Set You Apart While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience working with students who have dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism, and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that these conditions present. A background in multisensory math instruction, with a familiarity of Orton-Gillingham or similar approaches. Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms to support math instruction, and a willingness to learn new technologies and software.
