Job Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced math tutor to work with high school students, primarily in the afternoons and evenings, to improve their test scores and master math concepts necessary for classroom and ACT/SAT success. As an ACT Prep/Math Tutor, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction, guidance, and support to students, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized math tutoring to high school students, focusing on ACT and SAT prep, as well as subject-specific support Develop and implement customized learning plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each student Utilize Huntington's proven methods and materials to deliver high-quality instruction and support Work collaboratively with students, parents, and center staff to ensure student success and progress Communicate effectively with students, parents, and center staff to provide regular progress updates and feedback Participate in paid training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge Essential Qualifications 4-year degree in mathematics, education, or a related field Strong grasp of math concepts, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with high school-aged students and provide individualized support and guidance Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations Minimum ACT score requirement for eligibility Preferred Qualifications Teaching or tutoring experience, particularly in math or test prep Familiarity with Huntington's methods and materials Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
