Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients, addressing their concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, Monday through Friday, with no weekends required. Primary Responsibilities Respond to patient inquiries regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and research balances, providing clear and concise explanations. Manage patient refunds, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Process patient payments, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Effectively communicate with patients via phone and in writing, addressing their concerns and resolving issues. Demonstrate extensive attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills, ensuring seamless customer service experiences. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections, with a strong understanding of commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare reimbursement. Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement processes, including EOBs and patient billing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, clients, and internal stakeholders. A strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. A positive and professional demeanor, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service experiences. Self-motivation and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy: Additional experience in healthcare customer service or a related field. Knowledge of RCM processes and industry trends. Proficiency in customer service software and technology. Certifications in medical billing or a related field, such as CPC or CMRS.
