Job Overview As a Health Assistant at blithequark, you will be the primary connection and resource for our members, helping them with all their healthcare needs and benefits. Your role will involve delivering interventions, supporting members in navigating the complex healthcare system, and driving better client outcomes. A Day in the Life of a Health Assistant A typical day as a Health Assistant at blithequark will involve: Supporting members via phone and digital messaging to navigate the healthcare system Influencing members' decisions and behavior by making them smarter consumers of healthcare Translating benefit packages and care plans to help members understand their options Helping members find doctors and healthcare providers that suit their needs Identifying barriers that prevent members from receiving the care they need and connecting them with the right clinical resources Leveraging technology and internal resources to understand the member's path, actions needed, and next steps Key Responsibilities As a Health Assistant, your key responsibilities will include: Delivering interventions to support members in achieving their health goals Driving better client outcomes by assisting with improved financial outcomes, avoiding inappropriate healthcare usage, and optimizing benefit packages Helping members understand and optimize their preventive services, reducing avoidable admissions, ER usage, and readmissions Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless support for our members Qualifications To be successful as a Health Assistant at blithequark, you will need: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a service-based environment, with a Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of relevant experience Relevant background experience in insurance settings, telephonic customer service, medical offices, Health Plans, social services, behavioral health, counseling, healthcare coordination, pharmacy tech, benefits specialist, health coaching, case management, exercise, and health education High agility and comfort in a high-paced, innovative, technology-driven environment Knowledge of consumer health plans and terminology Understanding of how patients use and access healthcare Ability to thrive in a performance-based environment and demonstrate high levels of personal accountability Empathetic and superior critical thinking skills Commitment to quality and continuous improvement Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint) Strong self-management and self-starter skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment Familiarity with healthcare technology and digital platforms Certifications in healthcare, customer service, or related fields Bilingual or multilingual skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
