Experienced Full-Time Remote Merchandising Associate – E-commerce Product Development and Category Management

Job Overview We're seeking a highly motivated and talented Merchandising Associate to join our team. As a Merchandising Associate, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining category assortment strategies, analyzing sales trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. This is a full-time remote opportunity, offering a competitive salary of $70-$80 per year. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain category assortment strategies, including developing a rack space plan and selecting, creating, and iterating on product offerings Identify opportunities for category growth, using competitive analysis, trend research, and internal performance monitoring as data points Collaborate closely with various teams to determine how best to bring the assortment to life in both digital and print Stay up-to-date on upcoming trends and customer needs to identify new assortment opportunities Routinely evaluate financial performance and update category decisions and rack space allocation strategy as needed Travel (1-3 times per year) to attend industry trade shows relevant to your categories to collaborate with key suppliers and further enhance our assortment Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree earned by the date of hire Work, internship, or extracurricular experience within a retail and/or omni-channel buying role or relevant experience Strong ability to analyze data and think critically about the business, understand and interpret performance trends, and apply learnings to the business Solid creative sense, elevated taste level, and passion for product Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence Self-starter motivated by the opportunity to define a creative and strategic vision and have an outsized impact within a team and company Preferred Qualifications A genuine interest in industry trends, product design, and home decorating is a plus Ability to travel for candidate selection, trade shows, and/or supplier meetings Career Growth Opportunities At Wayfair, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
