About the Role of Math Instructor We are seeking an experienced and passionate Math Instructor to join our team of dedicated educators in Fairfield, OH. You will be responsible for instructing small groups of students in math core skills, tracking their progress, and providing individualized feedback and support. Key Responsibilities Instruct small groups of students in math core skills, focusing on long-term understanding and top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT) Track student progress and provide individualized feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their full potential Develop and execute innovative lesson plans that incorporate real-world examples and practical applications to inspire a love of learning Mentor middle and high school students with empathy and understanding, recognizing the increasing competitiveness and stress of the college application process Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth Utilize technology, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites, to enhance instruction and communication with students and colleagues Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master's or higher preferred; open to entry-level candidates) Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a college-level tutoring center (1+ years) GPA of 3.5 or higher Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching at the college or community college level Robust understanding of classroom pedagogy and the ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans Desire to help students recognize, reach for, and realize their fullest potential Dynamic and outgoing personality Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Mastery of SAT and ACT Math, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics Why Join Vanguard College Prep?
