You will be responsible for assisting pharmacists, interacting with customers, and developing strong patient relationships. You will also have the opportunity to participate in arenaflex's pharmacy technician training program, which is recognized by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Department of Labor. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the performance of other pharmacy branch duties according to employer policies and procedures. * Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions. * Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients with greetings and assistance with services and products. * Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a superior customer experience. * Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers. * Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, personnel Pharmacist, and Store Supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy. * Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow. * Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program. * Adhere to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities. * Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle coins as required. * Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding merchandise. * Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. * Process (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager. * Assist and support the Pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs. * Maintain knowledge of company asset protection policies and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed but not obtained), order errors or broken goods related to Rx capsules. * May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required. * Assist the Pharmacy Supervisor and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities. **Essential Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). * Must have six months of experience in a retail environment. * Must have previous work experience with arenaflex. * Must have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. * Must have correct computer skills. * Must have knowledge of store inventory management. * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. **Preferred Qualifications** * Prefer to have a percent certification. * Prefer to have a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures. * Prefer to have experience working in a fast-paced environment. **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. * Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** * arenaflex offers a comprehensive training program for pharmacy technicians, which includes on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and online learning modules. * arenaflex provides opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company, including promotions to senior technician and leadership roles. * arenaflex offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and education assistance. * arenaflex provides opportunities for professional development and continuing education, including training and development programs, conferences, and workshops. **Work Environment and Company Culture** * arenaflex is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. * arenaflex provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and education assistance. * arenaflex offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and education assistance. * arenaflex provides opportunities for professional development and continuing education, including training and development programs, conferences, and workshops. * arenaflex is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
