About the Role We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Oracle DBA to join our team in India. As a key member of our database administration team, you'll play a critical role in providing complete support for all aspects of managed database and application infrastructure operations to our clients. Key Responsibilities As a Full Stack Oracle DBA, you'll be responsible for: Coordinating, analyzing, designing, implementing, and administering database solutions to meet customer needs Overseeing backup, database real application clustering, mirroring, replication, failover, and restoration and recovery of corrupted databases, developing and reviewing action plans (such as maintenance, deployment, upgrades, etc.), and completing all relevant customer documentation Recommending best practices for improvements to current operational processes Configuring and maintaining servers at the database and infrastructure level Troubleshooting Database operational problems Administering proactive database and infrastructure daily checks Responding to monitoring alerts Communicating status and planning activities to customers and other team members Learning different database technologies and providing support Providing initial support to our customers on infrastructure and database issues, troubleshooting, and resolution of problems related to performance issues for database systems Responding to customer's tickets in a timely and efficient manner and escalating issues with urgency when required (aligned to ITIL best practice) Analyzing customer's infrastructure and processes and recommending to customers, best practices for improvements to current operational processes and procedures to ensure that databases remain operational for maximum uptime and recoverability Administration of backup procedures and disaster recovery plans, provide proactive monitoring to head-off potential issues before they become incidents, respond to monitoring alerts, and carry out troubleshooting of operational problems Contributing to, improving, and maintaining team documentation about customer systems and infrastructure, procedures, policies, and schedules Working collaboratively with teammates to contribute to the continuous improvement of our working culture Mentoring and cross-training teammates on technologies and processes, to improve the technical excellence of the team Participating in the team's rotational shift pattern and on-call coverage rotation plan What We Need from You To be successful in this role, you'll need: 4+ years of database administration experience managing Oracle databases (including Oracle RAC) Basics of Oracle Exadata with a good foundational understanding of Oracle database technologies A curiosity mindset and tenacity to fully diagnose why something went wrong Troubleshooting and performance improvement skills, including index creation, query optimization, schema changes, etc. Understanding of database security management Experience managing logical and physical replication Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and Golden Gate replication Required knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager with some Linux knowledge What You'll Get in Return As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy: A competitive total rewards package with excellent take-home salaries, shifted work time bonus (if applicable), and an annual bonus plan The opportunity to hone your skills or learn new ones with an annual training allowance, 2 paid professional development days, attend conferences, become certified, and more A flexible work-life balance with 3 weeks of paid time off and flexible working hours The equipment you need to work from home, including a laptop with your choice of OS, and a 0.3 lakh INR* budget to personalize your work environment The opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the success of our clients Why Join Us?
