We value what you can do, from anywhere in the U.S. Focus in Data Platform Teams Database Access Stage The Database Access Stage team builds and operates an adaptable query interface that works with data reflections to operate at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. This team holds a significant responsibility in empowering Netflix microservices to fulfill their steadily growing and advancing data needs. Data Stage Foundation The Data Stage Foundation team serves as a platform for our own data stages. Our common framework and tooling enable arenaflex to rapidly enhance on giving cutting-edge data and analysis frameworks to the rest of the organization without building customized platforms for each new framework. To do this, we create high-influence frameworks, control, and deployment frameworks that are calibrated for the needs of running our data frameworks at scale; many of our tools and frameworks are written in Python, so this is an excellent group to consider if you enjoy working in various languages. Big Data Figure Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex. This team is crucial to batch data processing in Data Stage. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. It also provides sub-second latency to a specific class of queries using Druid. We're seeking exceptional talent with experience in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Ice sheet, and distributed database frameworks overall. Jobs in this group include tackling very fascinating and challenging issues of working with data at scale, building features and performance enhancements, and working closely with open-source communities to shape the activities and make contributions. Big Data Arrangement Offers the stage for planning, organizing, and executing large data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. These stages include basic services that have all ETL and ML responsibilities running on Big Data Frameworks at arenaflex. These fully distributed frameworks are continually evolving for Netflix scale with best-in-class technology. We're moving towards event-driven and intelligent planning which would require minimal client input/interference. About You Requirements * 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications * Proficient in the design and development of robust web services * Experienced in building and operating adaptable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems * Knowledgeable in Java or other object-oriented programming languages * Multithreading is a challenge that you're open to handling * BS in Computer Science or a related field Preferred Qualifications * Experience with open-source technologies and communities * Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance * Familiarity with cloud-native platforms and containerization * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Passion for innovation and continuous learning About arenaflex Culture At arenaflex, we value diversity, inclusivity, and collaboration.
