As a Principal Engineer (DevOps Data Platform), you will be responsible for driving the organizational change in creating DevOps tooling, practices, and culture. You will contribute to business-wide requirements and ensure adoption of same, including visibility, flexibility, accessibility, security, and cost effectiveness. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead DevOps methodology covering planning, development of tools, practices, and culture * Establish and implement DevOps best practices, including form control, code review, automated testing, and infrastructure systems * Model and manage infrastructure as code, using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to provision and manage assets across cloud environments * Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar, ensuring fast and reliable application deployment * Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure teams are adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements * Monitor and analyze DevOps pipelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement, advancement, and automation to enhance deployment/failback consistency and accuracy * Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's DevOps environment * Coach and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * Experience working in public cloud environments, GCP (liked)/Azure/ AWS, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) * Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for automating asset provisioning and deployment * Active involvement in CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git) * Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or similar * Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex DevOps stage issues and provide effective solutions * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Cloud Logging Solutions) to ensure application performance and system health * Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps, including experience with vulnerability scanning, compliance frameworks, and secure infrastructure practices * Experience with Generative AI and Gitlab * Leadership experience, including coaching and directing junior specialists, is a plus **What We Offer** * Competitive salary of $25/hour * Opportunity to work with a leading Fortune 6 healthcare pioneer * Collaborative and innovative work environment * Professional growth and development opportunities * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance * Generous paid time off and holidays * Access to cutting-edge technology and tools * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **How to Apply** If you are excited about the opportunity to work as a Senior IC driving DevOps improvement/change and meet the qualifications mentioned above, we encourage you to apply.
