As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database. You will also review data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolve issues using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution. **Responsibilities** As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: * Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into the appropriate system database * Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving issues using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution * Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database * Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications * Following data program security practices and procedures at all times * Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily * Performing other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required * Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations * Performing other duties as assigned **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required * A minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience * Experience in a medical office preferred but not required * MUST be tech-savvy and be detail-oriented * Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone * Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet * Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M. * Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness * Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met * Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed * Must be able to maintain confidentiality * Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Proficiency in multiple software programs, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
