Your expertise in data engineering, software development, and team leadership will be essential in driving the success of our data-driven initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead a team of data engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale data applications * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs * Develop and implement data engineering strategies that align with blithequark's business objectives * Ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of data applications * Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and expertise * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure blithequark remains competitive * Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements * Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets * Ensure compliance with blithequark's policies and procedures **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience * 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, and team leadership * Strong expertise in data engineering tools and systems, including HDFS, Yarn, Flash, Impala, Kafka, HBase, MapReduce, Kubernetes, Item Store, and Flink * Experience with at least two of the following languages and related development tools: Python, Ruby, Java, Scala, Swift, and Objective C * Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and deployment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize project requirements * Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with cloud-based platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure * Knowledge of big data processing frameworks, including Apache Spark and Apache Flink * Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools, including Amazon Redshift and Tableau * Strong understanding of data governance and compliance regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA * Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) **Skills and Competencies** * Strong technical expertise in data engineering, software development, and team leadership * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize project requirements * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities * Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and deployment * Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban * Strong knowledge of data engineering tools and systems, including HDFS, Yarn, Flash, Impala, Kafka, HBase, MapReduce, Kubernetes, Item Store, and Flink **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
