As a Lead Data Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data strategy and driving business growth through data-driven insights. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team and lead the development of our data infrastructure, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data analysts, and product managers, to ensure that our data solutions are aligned with business objectives and meet the highest standards of quality and performance. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and develop data warehousing solutions, including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data integration * Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data infrastructure, including cloud-based data platforms and on-premises data centers * Collaborate with data scientists and data analysts to develop data-driven solutions that meet business needs * Work with product managers to ensure that data solutions are aligned with business objectives and meet the highest standards of quality and performance * Develop and maintain detailed documentation of data solutions and changes to ensure data quality and data governance * Ensure high functional productivity and quality of data solutions to meet SLAs and support obligation to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups) * Be a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practice to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling * Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries to extract insights from large datasets * Experience with distributed systems, including Hadoop, Spark, and cloud-based data platforms * Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala * Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) * Strong understanding of data integration toolsets and data pipelines * Experience with agile/scrum methodologies and data governance practices **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling * Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS (S3, EMR, EC2) * Strong understanding of data visualization tools and techniques * Experience with data science and machine learning techniques * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams **Skills and Competencies** * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data problems and develop innovative solutions * Excellent technical skills, with a strong understanding of data engineering concepts and technologies * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results * Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities, with a flexible and agile mindset **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Lead Data Engineer at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from data warehousing and ETL pipelines to data modeling and data governance.
