Job Overview This remote position is responsible for the accounting capabilities associated with the sales and use tax assessment and permit to operate compliance processes. As an Accountant at arenaflex, you will participate in the monthly accounting close cycle, prepare recurring monthly journal entries, and coordinate general ledger account reconciliations. Your expertise in general ledger data analysis and ability to create monthly data files that accommodate the general ledger for our co-source charge compliance supplier will be essential in this role. While prior sales tax experience is not required, the ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities Prepares and examines pay and financial statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to different accounts. Applies sound accounting principles and creates or recommends accounting procedures and policies. Trains or assigns work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other partners to participate in daily accounting activities. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, regions, and divisions. Participates in financial reporting. Direct Supervisor and Direct Reports This position typically reports to a Senior Manager. As an individual contributor, this role does not have direct reports, but you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and support to junior staff members as needed. Travel Requirements Occasional overnight travel may be required, but this will be limited to less than 10% of the time. As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA, with the occasional need to travel to our Atlanta-based office or other locations for meetings and training. Physical and Working Conditions The majority of your time will be spent sitting in a comfortable position, with regular opportunities to move about.
