Job Overview The Food Service Team Leader is responsible for driving sales growth, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service in our food and beverage department. Key Responsibilities Embrace sales objectives, plan and execute daily/weekly responsibilities to meet department and store sales objectives and customer engagement Work a schedule that aligns with customer and business needs (this includes early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends) Model customer service standards; delivering a fresh and full area during all opening hours, creating experts who share product knowledge with the customer Demonstrate a service culture that focuses on the customer service experience. Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard Evaluate Food Service back of house, production areas, dining spaces and marketing spaces to ensure food safety and proper inventory levels Walk Food and Drink Standards and Food Service schedules daily to evaluate needs and assess responding to identify business gaps for follow-up Ensure proper execution on all sanitation standards and cleaning schedules Validate and follow up on specialists' progress against department agendas and schedules Lead your team to maintain and uphold all brand norms and production specifications (where applicable) Foster a productive relationship with your brand representatives (if applicable), attend scheduled in-store planning and meetings and follow up on key takeaways from their time in your store Ensure accurate in-stocks by submitting store-initiated orders according to best practices Follow proper temporary inventory management techniques to ensure accurate recording of inventory Pursue production quantity decisions with perfect timing to ensure freshness, in-stocks, sales and profit are achieved all day, every day Expect and encourage specialists to stay up-to-date on relevant trends and products Assess and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a customer-driven team Lead team onboarding and mastering and close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experiences Establish clear objectives and expectations and hold colleagues accountable to expectations Complete all brand-specific training requirements and certifications Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; Lead team to work similarly and hold others accountable to this responsibility Lead and create a safety advocacy culture by understanding what safety means for your role and that of your team, identifying and remedying hazards, and holding team accountable to working in a safe way to help themselves and others Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, demonstrating inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old or older Past retail experience preferred, but not entirely necessary Solid interest and knowledge of the food service business Lead and hold others accountable Learn and adapt to current technology needs Work independently and as part of a team Manage responsibility and prioritize tasks autonomously Welcoming and accommodating attitude Effective communication skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a leadership or management role Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols Experience with inventory management and control Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
