Your Mission: Empower small and medium-sized businesses across Europe by building and enhancing Teya ʼs mobile applications. Deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that help business owners thrive and reconnect with the joy of running their businesses. As a Mobile Software Engineer at Teya , you will: Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Kotlin. Write clean, maintainable, and secure code to address complex business problems. Prioritize performance, scalability, and maintainability in all development tasks. Seamlessly integrate various APIs and SDKs, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Focus on delivering a modern, intuitive, and user-friendly experience for merchants across Europe. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives. Actively participate in critical project decisions, including architecture design, framework selection, and tool evaluation. Continuously improve applications while applying test automation best practices to reduce waste and error. Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring timely delivery, iterative improvements, and collaboration across teams. Key Responsibilities: Build mobile applications that support payments acceptance, business account services, card issuing, and ePOS systems. Incorporate state-of-the-art technologies to enable offline capabilities, secure data storage, and dynamic app features like push notifications and deep linking. Ensure seamless app upgrades and support internationalization/localization. Collaborate with design and product teams to deliver a compelling user experience. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, scalable logging, and observability practices. Embrace clean architecture principles, including Domain, Application, Infrastructure, and Presentation layers. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of Agile workflows. Work closely with Product Owners to refine requirements and deliver incremental value in each sprint. Your Story: We are seeking candidates with the following: Core Skills & Experience Around 1+ year of Android development experience Hands-on experience with Kotlin (KMP & Jetpack Compose is a plus) Understanding of the software development lifecycle Basic knowledge of secure app development (e.g., HTTPS, encryption, OAuth) Ways of Working Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams. Comfortable using tools like JIRA or Confluence to track work. Able to participate in team discussions, planning, and reviews. Good to Have Understanding of app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, clean architecture). Experience with automated testing , performance optimisation, or CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and third-party integrations. Knowledge of Firebase tools (Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) is a bonus. Soft Skills Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn. Adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills in English.
